Split Personalities - Padauk, Sapele, Brass, and Aluminum Wall Art

We are all a little crazy, but this piece is crazy beautiful.

The slender design highlights the incredible grain of Sapele with a variety of metals and negative space.

Sapele, (sometimes referred to as African Mahogany), is known for its wild, flowing and holographic grain. Framed between sidelites of rich African Padauk, the river of golden color steals the show. 

Exposing the solid brushed aluminum spine, exact amounts of Sapele and Padauk were removed without disrupting the continuation of grain. The specific angles of these splits produce a deeper dimension as well as accentuate the grain.

Long gun blued steel inlays run top to bottom, and a hand machined brass detail completes each tile.

Finished in a satin hand rubbed lacquer and wax.
